About the online violin teacher
Beth has been playing violin since the age of nine, with a break in her teenage years. When she was a young adult and started working, she continued her violin lessons and completed her Trinity school of music in London Grade 8 certificate for violin, equivalent to a Royal Conservatory of Music Level 10.
Beth started teaching violin twenty years ago to two students who took lessons from her. One was a beginner and one was an intermediate student. This ended and it was several years before she returned to violin teaching. She became a full time violin teacher using the Suzuki violin books and during that time she also played at weddings and functions as a violinist.
She started with competitions and exams for her students where they did very well obtaining high scores in their Trinity examinations for violin. She also did one year of competitions where her students took part in Kids with Tallent SA. One of the students won her category in her age group for modern violin music.
Beth later accepted a job as a violin teacher at a music school in South Africa where she taught violin lessons for just over a year.
Beth has subsequently stopped all violin teaching and lessons as she has relocated to another country. However, her passion for teaching violin continues and she taught at a local private school in Surrey, BC, where she taught Strings Club, where students were taught in a group class how to play the violin.
Beth has now started teaching violin again from home and is currently accepting students in Surrey, BC for both in person violin lessons and online lessons.
